Day One: On the Road Again
We thought that we would start a blog so that our children would know where we were and what we were up to. Now isn't that a switch! Friends and family are welcome too.
This is the beginning of a very long trip. It has taken lots of planning and the checklist is rather long. We will need winter, spring, summer and Singapore clothes. We will need passports, visas, maps and itineraries. We will travel in cars, trains, boats and planes.
It is very hard to leave our home in Florida at this time of the year. It has been in the mid-70's and the entire winter as been pleasant and warm. Kent takes morning walks and afternoon bike rides. The sliders are open in the morning and we watch the alligators, turtles and birds that visit our back yard.
My husband gave me a new road atlas for Christmas. The old one was worn out and I kept finding mistakes. I'm not sure why you would want a Garmin and a road atlas, except it gives me a good excuse to be a nagivator.
